Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 2, 2026 · ADS Studio, LLC
Plostr ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by ADS Studio, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service at plostr.io.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Plostr:
- Account information: Your name and email address when you create an account.
- Social media credentials: OAuth access tokens for the platforms you connect. We store tokens to post on your behalf — we never store your platform passwords.
- Content you create: Posts, writing samples for voice training, and uploaded media.
- Usage data: How many times you use the reformat feature each month, for billing and limit enforcement purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Plostr service — reformatting posts, scheduling, and publishing to connected platforms.
- To train your personal voice profile using the writing samples you provide.
- To enforce usage limits based on your subscription tier.
- To communicate with you about your account or service updates.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your content with third parties except as required to deliver the service.
3. AI Processing
Plostr uses the Anthropic Claude API to reformat your posts and analyze writing samples for voice training. Your content is transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own Privacy Policy. We do not use your content to train Anthropic's models.
4. Media Files
When you upload photos, videos, or AI-generated images to Plostr, we handle them as follows:
- Stored in your Media Library: Uploaded and AI-generated media is stored securely on Cloudflare R2 cloud infrastructure (US-based) and remains accessible in your personal Media Library for reuse across posts.
- Your media, your control: You can delete any media file from your library at any time. Deleted files are permanently removed from our storage within 24 hours.
- Private by default: Your media files are private and accessible only to you. They are never shared with other users or third parties, except when you explicitly choose to publish them to a social media platform.
- Never analyzed or shared: Your media is never analyzed for advertising, never used to train AI models, and never shared beyond the platform you choose to post to.
- Deleted on account closure: All media files are permanently deleted when you delete your account.
5. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement the following protections:
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your browser and Plostr servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). All communication with third-party APIs (social platforms, Anthropic, Stripe) uses TLS encryption.
- Encryption at rest: Your account data and OAuth access tokens are stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway's secure infrastructure.
- OAuth tokens: We store OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens solely to publish content on your behalf. Tokens are never logged, exposed in API responses, or shared with any third party beyond the platform they belong to.
- Password hashing: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a cost factor of 12 before storage. We never store plaintext passwords.
- Access controls: Access to production systems and databases is restricted to authorized personnel only.
- Session tokens: Authentication tokens are signed JWTs with a 30-day expiry, stored only in your browser's localStorage. They are never stored server-side.
- Google user data: Data obtained through Google OAuth (email address, name, and YouTube channel access) is used exclusively to authenticate your account and publish YouTube content you explicitly request. We do not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the Plostr service.
6. Google API Scopes
When you connect your Google account, Plostr requests the following permissions:
- openid, email, profile — Used to identify you and create or sign into your Plostr account.
- youtube.upload — Used to upload videos to your YouTube channel when you choose to publish video content through Plostr.
- youtube.readonly — Used to verify your YouTube channel connection is active.
Plostr's use of Google user data is limited to the purposes described above and complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Data Storage
Your account data is stored on servers operated by ADS Studio, LLC via Railway's cloud infrastructure. Social media access tokens are stored in an encrypted database and used solely to publish content on your behalf. Media files (uploaded images, videos, and AI-generated images) are stored on Cloudflare R2 (US-based) and remain in your Media Library until you delete them or close your account.
9. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information, media files, and all associated data within 30 days. You may delete individual media files or your entire account at any time from within the app.
10. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Disconnect any social media account at any time from within the app.
- Delete any media file from your Media Library at any time.
- Delete your entire account and all associated data.
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@plostr.io.
11. Cookies
Plostr uses localStorage (not cookies) to store your session token and theme preference locally in your browser. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
12. Children's Privacy
Plostr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, sending an email notice.
